The Pallotti SGA is excited to put on the 2024 Homecoming Dance for our student community. The evening will consist of food, dancing, photo booth, casino games, crowning the Homecoming king and queen and fun decorations! We are looking forward to an amazing night.

 

Students and parents should familiarize themselves with our dance policies:

 

1. The dance will begin at 8:00 pm and will end at 11:00 pm. No attendees will be admitted after 9:00pm.

 

2. . Once you enter the dance, you must remain in the designated areas until you are ready to leave for the evening. Parents will be notified of any students who leave the dance before 10:00 pm. There is no re-admittance to the dance. Loitering is not allowed.

 

3. The dress code is semi-formal. Males should wear a dress shirt (tie optional), dress pants or khakis, and appropriate shoes. No blue jeans, sweats or joggers. Females should be in modest attire (nothing too short, revealing or form-fitting). Please save us the embarrassment of turning you away at the door by checking your attire before arriving at the dance.

 

5. Attendees who dance in an inappropriate, lewd and lascivious dancing manner will be asked to leave the dance and will not receive a refund of the admission fee, nor will they be eligible to attend the next school dance. Rules for appropriate dancing include, but are not limited to:

a. No straddling legs of your partner

b. Both feet on the floor

c. Hands on waist or shoulders only

d. No “moshing”

e. No hands on the floor

Appropriate dancing is up to the discretion of the chaperones and will not be debated! Students engaged in inappropriate dancing will be issued one warning. If the inappropriate dancing persists, the students/guests will be asked to leave the dance without a refund. SVPHS parent(s) will be notified if the students have been asked to leave the dance early.

 

6. Attendees are to remember that the St. Vincent Pallotti High School Student Rights and Responsibilities apply to all participants at any after school function. Failure to comply with the rules may result in the potential loss of after-school activities and events and possible disciplinary actions.

 

7. Attendees suspected of being under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol will be subject to evaluation and/or a field sobriety test, which may include a breathalyzer test. There will be two plain clothes security guards at the dance in addition to a number of adult chaperones. 


8. There will be a coat-check. All bags and coats should be brought to the coat check and picked up upon departure. All attendees are responsible for any items not turned over at the coat check. Please remember not to leave your valuables unattended. Lost or stolen items are not the responsibility of the school.

9. Attendees give permission to be photographed and/or videotaped while attending the dance for memorabilia purposes only.

 

10. The dance ends promptly at 11pm. Please make sure you have your ride arrangements/pick up, for no later than that time. 

 

11. We are permitting students to bring a guest to the dance this year. If a student wishes to bring a guest, he/she will need to pick up a form from Mrs. Edwards or use the form attached to this email. The guest will need to complete the form which includes obtaining parent and school administrator signatures. Guest forms are due back by October 2nd. 

 

12. All sales are final, no refunds. Tickets will be sold online through a designated payment portal (see below). Tickets will not be sold at the doors. Tickets are $25 per person. Outside guests will also need a ticket. Ticket sales end at 5pm on October 2nd, so we can make our final preparations. 

 

When purchasing tickets, please remember to list the student name and if they are bringing an outside guest, we will need that name as well. 


When going to purchase the ticket(s):

  • Enter the number of tickets,
  • Then add to cart,
  • Then click the large black button that says “add information”. 
  • This is where you type in the student name(s) and the name of the outside guest/date if they are bringing one.
  • If the student is not bringing an outside guest/date, then you will need to type in NA for both fields. **This is where some people were having trouble.
  • Complete transaction with credit card.
